beckyrayBecky Ray, research fellow for the Global Economic Governance Initiative, spoke at the Watson Institute for International Studies at Brown University. The topic was “Chinese-Latin American Relations in a Warming World: Toward a More Sustainable Paradigm?”

Ray’s remarks were made in 2014 and video from the conference was published on Jan. 20.

The aim of the conference is to analyse Chinese-Latin American relations and explore some of the opportunities and limitations towards establishing a more sustainable agenda in a warming world. The event is being organized by Brown University’s Climate and Development Lab at the Institute at Brown for Environment and Society and the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at the Watson Institute. It is funded by the Fundación Botín.
