Selin Attends Council on Foreign Relations Workshop
Henrik Selin, Associate Professor of International Relations at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies, represented Boston University at the 2015 College and University Educators Workshop hosted by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).
“Universities could send one faculty member to the workshop and I was fortunate enough to be able to attend from BU,” Selin said. “The workshop was very useful in highlighting the growing number of high quality materials CFR is developing, as they seek to significantly strengthen their focus on education.”
In addition to the workshop, which was held April 17 – 18 in New York City, attendees were provided access to a host of teaching materials including a Global Conflict Tracker and informational videos on ISIS, Syria, Russia and Ukraine.
The workshop included agenda items such as U.S. Foreign Policy, Sectarian Issues in the Middle East, and Global Issues in the Classroom, as well as a banquet.
The CFR publishes the respected academic journal Foreign Affairs, which has previously featured work from Pardee School Professors Cornel Ban and Manjari Miller.
Selin is also the Associate Director of the Pardee School Division of International Studies. Learn more about him here.
