Paul Hare on BBC Radio: New Future for Cubans

Cuba, Hare, Paul Hare, John Kerry, Pardee School, Boston University

Paul Hare, Senior Lecturer at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, said that diplomacy offered a new vision of the future for the people of Cuba as it renews its ties with the U. S.

Hare made the argument on a broadcast of the BBC radio program 5 Live, in an interview conducted by journalist Anna Holligan on August 14.

From the audio of the interview:

“There are very few countries that have broken diplomatic relations for 54 years and then gone on to restore them. Obviously, the world has changed immensely,” Hare said. “Diplomats go into overdrive, and do their best to find links and engagement.”
