Corgan on Icelandic State Radio on US Presidential Election

Michael Corgan, Associate Professor of International Relations at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies, was recently interviewed on Icelandic radio about the upcoming United States presidential election.

Corgan was interviewed for a September 10, 2016 segment on Iceland State Radio with Joun Gudni Kristjansson entitled “Turnout in Crucial Presidential Election.

In the interview, which is mostly in Icelandic, Corgan identifies the three factors most affecting this election; demographic changes in the United States, the cheapening effect of the internet on all political discourse and the effect of automation and machines on jobs for the less skilled or educated workers.

Affiliated with Boston University since 1985, Prof. Corgan has also served as Chairman of the Department of Naval Science. He has participated in extensive government service in political and military planning (especially NATO).
