An exhibition of photography of Vivien Schmidt, Founding Director of the Center for the Study of Europe at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, will be on display at 121 Bay State Road through December 19, 2016

The exhibition, which includes an extensive body of photographic studies of landscapes and cityscapes from around the globe, opened at the annual Pardee School end-of-the-year gathering held on December 7, 2016.

Schmidt, who is stepping down as Director of the Center for the Study of Europe at the end of the semester, introduced the exhibit and welcomed her successor, Professor of Political Science Cathie Jo Martin. Pardee School Dean Adil Najam thanked Schmidt for her tireless work as the Founding Director of the Center for the Study of Europe.

Najam also took the opportunity to thank Undergraduate Academic Advisor Vicky Kelberer for her years of service to the Pardee School. Kelberer, also a graduate student at the Pardee School, will be leaving her post in January and focusing on her research and Master’s thesis. Najam said he knows Kelberer will remain as integral a part of the Pardee School as an alumni as she was as an advisor and student.
