Kevin GallagherProfessor of Global Development Policy at the Frederick S. Pardee of Global Studies at Boston University, was recently interviewed for a syndicated article on potential changes to the North American Free Trade Agreement under United States President Donald Trump.

Gallagher was quoted in a June 4, 2017 article in the Dayton Daily News entitled “NAFTA Changes Have Some in Ohio Worried.

From the text of the article:

Kevin P. Gallagher, a professor of global development policy at Boston University, argues that NAFTA’s benefits are exaggerated. President Donald Trump has more leverage than either Mexico or Canada “because he has the keys to our economy,” Gallagher said.

“To threaten to Canada and Mexico that we will go back to pre-1994 is a pretty scary proposition for them,” he said.

Kevin P. Gallagher is a professor of global development policy at Boston University, where he co-directs the Global Economic Governance Initiative (GEGI).  GEGI’s mission is to advance policy relevant research on governance for financial stability, human development, and the environment on a global scale.
