Keylor Presents Paper at Sorbonne Conference

William Keylor, Professor of International Relations and History at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, recently participated in a conference at the Sorbonne and German Historical Institute in Paris honoring two iconic professors of international relations at the Sorbonne–Pierre Renouvin and Jean-Baptiste Durocelle.

The conference, held from June 7-9, 2017 was attended by scholars from France, Britain, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Tunisia, Spain, and Argentina who covered a wide range of topics related to the history of international relations while honoring Renouvin and Durocelle.

Keylor presented a paper on the state of diplomatic history and history of international relations in the United States and the challenges these disciplines have faced.

Keylor served four consecutive terms as Chairman of the Department of History at Boston University (1988-2000) and has been Director of the International History Institute since 1999.
