Palmer in La Razon on Peru’s Political Turmoil
David Scott Palmer, Professor Emeritus of International Relations at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, was recently interviewed on the unexpected failure of the effort to impeach Peru’s president Pedro Pablo Kuzcynski last month and the even more unexpected humanitarian pardon he gave to jailed ex-President Alberto Fujimori a few days later.
Palmer was interviewed for a recent article in La Razon entitled “Betrayal to Your Electorate.“
Palmer, Director of Latin American & Caribbean Studies at the US State Department’s Foreign Service Institute for 12 years and Professor of IR and PO at BU since 1988 (Emeritus since 2012), is the author of books, chapters, and articles on Peruvian politics and elections, Shining Path, Latin American border disputes, terrorism, and US-LA relations. He served as an observer with the Carter Center for Peru’s 2016 elections.
