Hare Speaks at Cuba Policy Seminar

Amb. Paul Webster Hare, Senior Lecturer at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, spoke at June 5, 2018 Cuba Policy Seminar hosted by the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Seoul.

The seminar, entitled “Korea-Cuba Relations and Cooperation in the Post-Castro Era: Opportunities and Challenges,” began with a session on “Prospects for Cuba’s Political and Economic Situations After Raul Castro.”

Hare spoke as part of a session on “Promoting Korea-Cuba Exchanges and Cooperation,” that was moderated by Prof. Kim Won-ho of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. The panel also featured Suh Jung Kyuk, former Director of the KOTRA Havana Office, and Prof. Kwak Jae Sung of the Graduate School of Pan-Pancific International Studies at Kyung Hee University.

Amb. Hare teaches classes at Boston University on Diplomatic Practice, Arms Control, Intercultural Communication and on Cuba in Transition. His novel, “Moncada – A Cuban Story”, set in modern Cuba, was published in May 2010. His book “Making Diplomacy Work; Intelligent Innovation for the Modern World.’ was published in early 2015.
