Hare in AFP on Maduro’s Economic Reforms

Amb. Paul Webster Hare, Senior Lecturer at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, was interviewed for a widely-syndicated article on the ongoing crisis in Venezuela. 

Hare was interviewed for an August 29, 2018 article by AFP entitled “In Venezuela, Doubt and Anger After Maduro’s Economic Reforms.

“Previous migrants were usually from the middle class, but the new waves seem to be people who can not afford to survive,” said Paul Webster Hare, professor of international relations in Boston and former British ambassador to Cuba.

Amb. Hare teaches classes at Boston University on Diplomatic Practice, Arms Control, Intercultural Communication and on Cuba in Transition. His novel, “Moncada – A Cuban Story”, set in modern Cuba, was published in May 2010. His book “Making Diplomacy Work; Intelligent Innovation for the Modern World.’ was published in early 2015.
