Najam Attends UN Workshop on Climate and Security
Adil Najam, Dean of the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, participated in an October 29, 2018 workshop hosted by the German Mission to the United Stations and Adelphi, a leading independent think tank and public policy consultancy, on climate change and security.
The workshop focused on placing environmental security on the agenda of the United Nations Security Council. Najam argued that while climate change is clearly a security issue, he’s not sure there is a security answer to the challenges posed by climate change.
In NYC @GermanyUN for expert workshop by @adelphi_berlin on #ClimateAndSecurity @ #UNSC
Me: #Climate is clearly a #security Question; but not sure it has a #security Answer.
