Pardee Works: Crawford-Staub on Careers in International Education
The Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University hosted an October 3, 2018 talk with Amanda Crawford-Staub (Pardee ’14) on the GREEN Program, an experiential education program for young leaders in sustainable development, as well as her career path and opportunities for students interested in working in international education or social impact careers.
Crawford-Staub is the Director of Alumni Engagement for The GREEN Program: an organization the provides young student leaders and professionals experiential educational programming focused on the Sustainable Development Goals. Her background is in experiential education and sustainability. She previously led environmental service trips through New Mexico and Hawaii with Overland Summers and completed a 1,000 mile bike tour to raise awareness of environmental issues.
A recipient of the State Department Gilman Scholarship, Crawford-Staub has studied at the University of Dar es Salaam, and is a graduate of the Pardee School and Boston University. In her free time she loves reading, running, and planning community cycling adventures in her home city of Philadelphia.
The Pardee Works series focuses on bringing professionals currently working in the diverse field of global studies to present for and network with Pardee School students. In addition to the annual Pardee Works career symposium, recent Pardee Works talks have covered topics including career opportunities at the CIA and DIA and careers in the Foreign Service.
