BUCSA Hosts Taiwan Forum With Richard C. Bush

The Center for the Study of Asia (BUCSA), an affiliated regional center of the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, hosted a December 4, 2018 Taiwan Forum at 121 Bay State Road.

The forum featured a conversation with Richard C. Bush, Senior Fellow at Center for East Asia Policy Studies and Chen-Fu and Cecilia Yen Koo Chair in Taiwan Studies at The Brookings Institution.

During the discussion, Bush covered a range of topics including Taiwan’s democracy, China’s cross-strait policy, and United States interests in the region.

The Taiwan Forum, along with many other Taiwan-related programs and resources at BUCSA, was supported by the Taiwan Ministry of Education and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Boston.

The Center for the Study of Asia promotes comprehensive, interdisciplinary, and cross-national understanding of Asia through coordination of teaching missions, research support, community-building among faculty and students, and broad outreach beyond the university. It strives to be an intellectual hub for new ideas and cutting edge research in the humanities and social sciences.
