Karra Gives Talks on the Effect of Improved Access to Family Planning

Mahesh Karra, Assistant Professor of Global Development Policy at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, recently gave two talks on “The Causal Effect of Improved Access to Family Planning: Evidence from a Field Experiment in Urban Malawi.”

Karra spoke as part of the Boston University Undergraduate Economic Association Lecture Series on February 13, 2019 and at the Centre on Population Dynamics seminar series at McGill University on February 20, 2019.

Karra’s academic and research interests are broadly in development economics, health economics, quantitative methods, and applied demography. His research utilizes experimental and non-experimental methods to investigate the relationships between population, health, and economic development in low- and middle-income countries.
