Grimes Speaks at GDP Center’s GEGI Seminar Series
William Grimes, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor of International Relations and Political Science at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, spoke at a March 5, 2019 talk at the Global Development Policy (GDP) Center, an affiliated center of the Pardee School, on the IMF and its discontents, the emergence of RFAs, the lending of the RFAs after the financial crisis, and the incremental shifts and the decentralization of the IMF.
The talk, entitled “Constructing a Financial Safety Net for the 21st Century: Global Meets Regional,” was held as part of the GDP Center’s Spring 2019 Global Economic Governance Initiative Luncheon Seminar Series. Grimes and GDP Center Assistant Director William N. Kring also discussed an article they co-wrote for a special issue of the journal Development and Change.
