Pardee School Dean Meets With Alumni in Florida

Adil Najam, Dean of the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, spoke to a group of Pardee School and Boston University alumni from the Tampa, Florida area at a dinner and conversation hosted by Pardee School alumni Glenn Zimmerman (Pardee ’93).

Najam delivered a talk on “Living in the Age of Adaptation” to a group of 25 Pardee School and Boston University alumni. Najam’s talk was followed by a lively discussion with the gathered alumni.

In his talk, Najam argued we are already living in the “Age of Adaptation” and, for too many people particularly in poorer countries, climate change impacts are no longer a possibility for the future but a reality of today. He elaborated on how we as a planet and as a species have stumbled into this Age of Adaptation and went on to highlight key elements of what this means for the life of the most vulnerable communities.
