Two Pardee Alums Make Forbes “30 Under 30” List

Two Pardee alums – Bryan Patenaude and Ben Levine – are listed in the 2020 Forbes ’30 Under 30′ list of trailblazing entrepreneurs, in 20 different industries, who are “changing the course – and the face – of business and society.”

The annual Forbes ’30 Under 30′ lists feature 600 young entrepreneurial leaders in 20 different industries – from arts to energy to healthcare to law and policy to science; and more. In 2020 Forbes has included nine Boston University alums, including two Pardee alumni.

Bryan Patenaude, graduated with an MA in Global Development in 2014 and was also a 2013 Graduate Summer Fellow at the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer Range Future. He is now an Assistant Professor of International Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. After Boston University, he went on to receive a Sc.D. in Public Health from the T.H. Chan School of Public Health at Harvard University. According to the Forbes citation:

Patenaude is a healthcare economist specializing in examining the most effective interventions for disease. At USAID, he researched sustainable economic interventions for the HIV/AIDS epidemic in sub-Saharan Africa. Now he leads a project quantifying the economic ROI for vaccines in 94 countries, the data for which is used by aid organizations.

Ben Levine received his BA from the BU Pardee School in 2012 and has since made a name as a television agent at Creative Artists Agency (CAA) focussed on underrepresented talent, including LGBTQ voices. According to the Forbes citation:

While an assistant at CAA, Levine was introduced to Food Network star Ted Allen’s assistant Antoni Porowski. He pitched Porowski as the food and wine expert for Netflix’s ‘Queer Eye’ reboot, landing him a slot as one of the “Fab Five” and going on to sign him as the face of Hanes, negotiate a seven-figure book deal for him and set him up to star in Kenya Barris’ upcoming romantic comedy. Levine also signed Jonathan Van Ness less than two months after the launch of ‘Queer Eye’ and has since secured a book deal for him, re-negotiated his Netflix deal and worked to establish a nationwide stand-up comedy tour. He also represents Tituss Burgess and Leslie Jones, and has brokered deals in the alternative television space for such traditional clients as Emma Roberts, Woody Harrelson, Luke Wilson and Melissa McCarthy.

Congratulations Bryan. Congratulations Ben.
