Goldstein Speaks on Lessons in the Eastern Mediterranean
Erik Goldstein, Professor of International Relations and History at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, spoke to the Institute of Eastern Mediterranean Studies at Emmanuel College on ‘ Great Britain in the Eastern Mediterranean in the era of the Great War, 1914-22’. The talk was held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020.
The talk was a part of the institute’s spring series on ‘The Global Mediterranean’. Goldstein discussed how British plans and actions at the time of the Great War has helped shape the region today. Goldstein is the author of numerous book and articles on British foreign policy including Winning the Peace: British Diplomatic Strategy, Peace Planning, and the Paris Peace Conference, 1916-1920 (1991); Wars and Peace Treaties (1992); and The First World War’s Peace Settlements: International Relations, 1918 – 1925 (2002, Italian translation, 2004).
Prof. Erik Goldstein is a Professor of International Relations and History at the Pardee School of Global Studies and former Chair of the then Department of International Relations (1998-2010).
