Heine Interviewed for ‘Talk with World Leaders’

Ambassador Jorge Heine , Research Professor at the Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, was interviewed by one of Hong Kong’s leading television journalists, Xiaotian Fu, for her television show ‘Talk with World Leaders’ for Phoenix TV Hong Kong

In a wide-ranging interview on the state of global affairs, Amb. Heine also talked about the possibility that the rise of China and the reaction to it from the U.S. and its allies could lead what he called “the second Cold War.” He argued that while this is in no way inevitable, it is quite likely given the emerging dynamics of the world. Heine, who is a former Ambassador of Chile to China, has argued that the rise of China is not only spectacular but marks the emergence of a new multipolar order and can be a stabilizing and positive force for the world, if the major powers continue to place a premium on global order.

The interview will appear in a series that has featured many political, business and thought leaders. The host and interviewer Fu Xiaotian is a well know TV personality and author of the book Meeting World Leaders (2019).
