Schmidt Discusses Her New Book During European Central Bank Webinar

Professor Vivien Schmidt, Jean Monnet Professor of European Integration and Professor of International Relations and Political Science at the Frederick S. During the webinar, Schmidt examined the particular challenges the EU’s rules-based governance framework poses to the management of finances, the European sovereign debt crises and the implications this has had for the EU’s democratic legitimacy and public trust since, as well as important lessons for how Europe should handle the COVID-19 crisis.
