Karra Joined the Editorial Committee for Studies in Family Planning
Mahesh Karra, Assistant Professor of Global Development Policy at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, has been selected to be a member of the editorial committee for the research journal Studies in Family Planning.
Studies in Family Planning is a peer-reviewed, international journal publishing public health, social science, and biomedical research with a primary focus on developing countries. Each issue contains original research articles, reports, commentaries, and data papers. The journal accepts submission in sexual and reproductive health, fertility, family planning, HIV/AIDS, abortion, maternal/child health, and related topics. Studies in Family Planning is published quarterly.
Karra’s own research, Community‐Based Financing of Family Planning in Developing Countries: A Systematic Review, was published in Studies in Family Planning in November 2016. Learn more about the journal here.
Mahesh Karra’s academic and research interests are broadly in development economics, health economics, quantitative methods, and applied demography. His research utilizes experimental and non-experimental methods to investigate the relationships between population, health, and economic development in low- and middle-income countries.
