Najam Takes Part in Geo News U.S. Election Coverage

Adil Najam, Dean of the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, has appeared as a regular panelist on the weeklong United States election coverage of Geo News, Pakistan’s largest TV network.

The daily shows have been analyzing different aspects of the Trump-Biden election cycle and will culminate in an election night live transmission on November 3, 2020. The election night broadcast will be available on Geo News’ website.

In the most recent installment, Najam argued that “it is hard to think of a recent U.S. Presidential election where the candidates have been as diametrically different – not just in personality but on policy – as Donald Trump and Joe Biden.”

Yet, he argued, “the surprise is how little we have heard about policy and how much it has been on personality.” Najam also discussed the international implications of a possible second term under Trump or a Biden Presidency.
