Najam Discusses India-Russia-US Realignment

On December 15, 2020, Adil Najam, Dean of the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, appeared on Indus News “In Focus” to discuss the relationships between India, Russia, and the United States as well as recent Russian comments that India is being manipulated by the West.

As Najam discussed during the program, there is a natural tendency for India to drift towards the United States. He stated that this move is not just related to China but is mostly driven by Indian interest in the U.S. that have tremendously grown in recent years.

Najam also remarked that Russia’s comments regarding India come as it sees its influence in the country waning. He went on to say that the tensions between China and India are much more significant, and Russia’s comments may be a sign of them cozying up to China as well.
