Najam Discusses Iran Nuclear Deal with 92 News

Iran Nuclear Deal. Prof.. Keylor of the Pardee School comments.

On February 20, 2021, Adil Najam, Dean of the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, appeared on 92 News to discuss the Iran Nuclear Deal.

Najam was asked to comment on a new International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) agreement regarding inspection of Iran nuclear sites. He said that this action is a step towards a return to Obama-era United States-Iran nuclear negotiations, which the Trump administration retreated from.

This shows that both the U.S. and Iran want to return to some sort of agreements, and while it’s a step in the right direction, Najam was quick to note it does not mark a breakthrough in US-Iran relations.
