Ye Quoted Discussing U.S. vs China Infrastructure Funding
Min Ye, Associate Professor of International Relations at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, was quoted in an Associated Press article on President Joe Biden’s proposed development and infrastructure plan, which aims to make the United States more competitive with China.
The article, titled “Eating our lunch: Biden points to China in development push,” describes Biden’s plan to invest trillions into U.S. infrastructure such as transport and energy, manufacturing, internet, and other sectors. Commenting on her own time living in the Boston area, Ye said that she hasn’t seen any major changes local road networks, bus routes, or rail lines – a far cry from China, which spends more on infrastructure in other countries than the U.S. does domestically.
