Heine Interviewed on the Chilean Elections
Ambassador Jorge Heine, Research Professor at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, appeared on CGTN America to discuss the 2021 Chilean elections in which citizens voted on delegates who will write a new constitution, regional governors, as well as for councilors and mayors.
In his remarks, Heine commented on low turnout, Chile’s move towards a more modern and sensible constitution, as well as the challenges ahead for the constitutional assembly.

Ambassador Jorge Heine is a Research Professor at the Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University. He has served as ambassador of Chile to China (2014-2017), to India (2003-2007) and to South Africa (1994-1999), and as a Cabinet Minister in the Chilean Government.
