Heine Discusses Latin American Foreign Affairs on Pódcast IMR

Ambassador Jorge Heine, Research Professor at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, discussed Latin American foreign affairs during an interview on the Diplomatic Academy of Mexico´s Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ “Pódcast IMR.” 

Heine was interviewed by Instituto Matias Romero (IMR) director Alejandro Alday on Latin America’s options in the present international environment, especially considering escalating US-China tensions. During his remarks, Heine elaborated on Active Non-Alignment as the best foreign policy option for the region in the current circumstances.

Ambassador Jorge Heine is a Research Professor at the Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University. He has served as ambassador of Chile to China (2014-2017), to India (2003-2007) and to South Africa (1994-1999), and as a Cabinet Minister in the Chilean Government.
