Gallagher Appointed Co-Chair of T20 Indonesia Task Force

Kevin Gallagher, Professor of Global Development Policy at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University and Director of BU’s Global Development Policy Center (GDP Center), has been asked to serve as co-chair on the Think-20 (T20) Indonesia Task Force on International Finance and Economic Recovery (Task Force 7), co-chaired by Chatib Basri, former Minister of Finance, Indonesia.

T20 is the official engagement group of G20 bringing together leading think tanks and research centers worldwide. It serves as the “ideas bank” of the G20 and aims to provide research-based policy recommendations to the G20 leaders. Task Force 7 will provide policy recommendations to support the three main priorities of Indonesia’s Presidency of G20 in 2022: global health architecture, digital economic transformation, and energy transition.

As a co-chair of the Task Force, Gallagher will be in charge of the process of calling for policy briefs and organizing various internal as well as external events that ensure the alignment of the T20 and G20 agenda.
