GDP Center Announces 2022 Summer in the Field Fellows

On May 25, 2022, the Global Development Policy (GDP) Center, an affiliated regional center at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, announced its four fellows for the Summer in the Field Fellowship program.

The GDP Center’s Summer in the Field Fellowship provides summer stipends to a select group of qualified Boston University Masters and/or PhD students to participate in unpaid internships or PhD students to conduct field research for a dissertation project. Starting June 1, the Summer in the Field Fellows will spend ten weeks developing their skills, research, and professional experience by participating in a variety of research projects and internships, spanning topics from the impact of assignment of non-local officials on long-term development in China to working on women’s political representation in Meghalaya, India and developing a sustainability framework and policy recommendations for PEPFAR-funded initiatives in Kenya.

The 2022 fellows are as follows:

  • Anjali Kini, MA student in Boston University’s Global Development Economics program.
  • Julia Maselli, MA student at the Pardee School specializing in global policy and sustainable development.
  • Anisa Saleh, Doctor of Public Health candidate at the Boston University School of Public Health.
  • Yuheng Zhao, Ph.D. candidate in Boston University’s Department of Economics.
