PGC Hosts Town Hall With Dean Taylor

Pardee Graduate Council members listen as Dean Scott Taylor addresses questions about the Pardee School.

On November 1, 2022, the Pardee Graduate Council (PGC) hosted a town hall with Scott Taylor, Dean of Boston University’s Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies and Professor of International Relations.

Pardee School students were able to meet the School’s new dean, ask him questions, and provide feedback about the programs on offer. Questions covered topics ranging from the future of the School to opportunities available for graduate students in and out of the classroom.

While he’s new to the Pardee School and BU, Dean Taylor’s vision for the future of the School resonated with the audience. He envisions the School as being nimble and easily adaptable in the face of evolving global challenges. Rather than getting too rooted in traditional issues of international relations, Taylor said he wants to build out faculty and degree programs that address new global affairs challenges, flush out and establish more identity for the regional studies tracks, and provide greater career services to Pardee School students.
