Najam Interviewed on NewsOne on Water Policy and Politics

Prof. Adil Najam, Dean of the Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, was interviewed on the news show DesPerdes on TV NewsOne in Pakistan, on January 24, 2020, on how and why water is the defining issue of the future for Pakistan, as for many other developing countries in the ‘Age of Adaptation.’

The hour-long show was devoted to the issue of water and interviewed Najam on the political and policy importance of the subject. Najam argued that in ‘The Age of Adaptation, water is to climate adaptation what carbon was to mitigation. However, he stressed that water is not just a matter of national policy, it is regulated by social norms or use and care for this most precious of resources.
