In our ongoing commitment to building a more inclusive and equitable community, we recognize that anti-racism is essential to this work.

We acknowledge the concern for anti-racism among our community members, which includes the impactful petition by students who formed the Pardee anti-racist coalition.  We are actively taking steps to address anti-racism including:

  • Creating a more welcoming and inclusive environment for all students: We will work to create a more welcoming and inclusive environment for all students, regardless of their race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or socioeconomic status. This includes reviewing our policies and procedures to ensure that they are fair and equitable.
  • Increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the school’s work: We will work to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the school’s work, including faculty hiring, curriculum development, and student support services.
  • Promoting cultural competency among faculty, staff, and students: We will work to promote cultural competency among faculty, staff, and students. This may include providing training on anti-racism and other DEI topics.

We are also committed to working with our students to develop and implement specific initiatives to address anti-racism at the Pardee School. We are in the early stages of planning this work, but we are dedicated to keeping our students informed and engaged.

We encourage all members of the Pardee community to join us in this important work. We can all play a role in creating a more inclusive and equitable community for all.
