  • Ends: 4:30 pm on Tuesday, December 6, 2016
The Clinical Needs Assessment Core is hosting a seminar on behalf of Boston University’s NIH U54 Center for Future Technologies in Cancer Care. We will explore challenges faced by oncologists in global health settings, discuss technology advances that could improve the standards of care, and what current technologies are available including their strong points and shortcomings. The seminar will wrap up with an engineer’s perspective, as an engineering researcher discusses how she became involved in technology development for clinical applications, describing the MD (clinician) PhD (engineer) relationship. This will be a seminar for clinicians and researchers interested in understanding, seeking questions and exploring solutions that will help to define the future of point of care for cancer care technologies.
