BU Philosophy Student Vanessa Hanger Receives Prestigious Buck Scholarship
The Department of Philosophy would like to congratulate Vanessa Hanger, a Philosophy undergrad, on receiving the prestigious Augustus Howe Buck Scholarship for 2022! The Buck Scholarship dates as far back as 1917, and is one of the highest honors awarded to undergraduate students here at BU. Vanessa is an exceptionally active member of our community, not only taking Philosophy courses, but also working tirelessly to manage Arché, our undergraduate philosophy journal, and serving this year as one of our first peer tutors through the Tutoring Writing in the Disciplines program; she has earned her spot among the illustrious recipients of this scholarship, and we are proud to help her continue her academic journey.
