Daniel Star completed his BPhil and DPhil at the University of Oxford in 2007. He was a Research Fellow at the Australian National University, before moving to Boston University and the United States in 2008. He has published a monograph, Knowing Better: Virtue, Deliberation, and Normative Ethics (OUP, 2015), as well as several peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Analysis, Ethics, Hypatia, Journal of Moral Philosophy, Jurisprudence, Oxford Studies in Normative Ethics, Oxford Studies in Metaethics, and Ratio. He is the editor of the Oxford Handbook of Reasons and Normativity (OUP, 2018) and one of two editors of History of Ethics: Essential Readings with Commentary (Wiley, 2019), and an associate editor of the International Encyclopedia of Ethics (11 volumes, Wiley, 2021).
