Areas of Interest: Democratic Theory, Applied Ethics, Moral Psychology, and History of Early Modern Philosophy.

Cassady has broad interests in the areas of contemporary political thought and early modern metaphysics. He holds particular interest in the open-participatory democratic visions of John Dewey, Hélène Landemore, and Arash Abizadeh, and a metaphysical interest in the concepts of affect and pathos in the works of Spinoza, Leibniz, and Anne Conway.
