Democratizing Precision Medicine for the Humanity

I am using integrative computational analytics, with the best tools from data science, clinical, and real-world data approaches to support care for patients with limited resources. The idea is to develop and validate new treatments that allow earlier diagnosis and intervention (complete study of asymptomatic individuals), stop disease progression, achieve remission, and enable patients to have better outcomes and a healthier future worldwide.

My main goal is related to improving the loss of diversity of genome-genetic databases, which are used for the complete analysis of human genome sequencing for medical purposes in what is now called “Precision Medicine”. Most medical treatments are designed for the “average patient” as a one-size-fits-all approach, which may be successful in some patients, but not all. In contrast, precision medicine, also known as “personalized medicine”, is an approach to tailoring disease prevention and treatment to differences in people’s genes, environment, and lifestyle. “The goal of precision medicine is to target the right treatments to the right patients, at the right time.”
