No doubt, the world of higher education has tilted and shifted since we rolled out our first strategic plan—Choosing to be Great. Over the past seven years, we have made good on the plan’s commitments. The fruits of those labors are now visible across our campus and the never-ending quest for excellence is now embedded in our DNA.
But we are not looking backward. We are looking ahead to the next seven years. While we’ll never lose sight of our trajectory as a major private research university, a centerpiece to the update of our strategic plan is a recommitment to bolstering the value of a Boston University education for our students. Aside from making it easier for our undergraduates to move between colleges, and bringing more diversity on both sides of the lectern, we’re committed to ongoing, rigorous academic reviews of all our offerings, focusing on the quality of our educational programs, faculty, and research. Boston University’s commitment to continued progress, our passion for excellence, and our dedication to breaking new ground remain rock solid.
And the prospect of seven more years of hard work? Well, we couldn’t be more excited.
