Jonathan R. Martin is a Ph.D. student of Political Science at Boston University. Previously, he served for 21 years in the U.S. Army including campaigns in Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan. His last assignment in the military was teaching strategy and planning at the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. Jon’s research interests are on strategic competition and the geopolitics of the Arctic.
Jon holds an M.A. in Diplomacy and International Relations from Seton Hall University, a Masters in Leadership and Security from the Latvian National Defense Academy, and a Masters in Operational Studies from Marine Corps University. He earned in B.A. in Economics from St. Lawrence University.
