
Graudate Student
Pooja Singh (She/Her) is a Graduate Student in the Department of Political Science at Boston University. She joined the Doctoral Program in 2024 after completing an M.A. in Gender, Politics and International Relations from University College Dublin as a Global Excellence Scholar (2023). Pooja also has an M.A. in International Relations and Area Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi where she specialized in the regions of ‘South Asia’ and ‘West Asia and North Africa’ (2022). She completed her B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science with a minor in Sociology from Hindu College, University of Delhi (2020).
Through her research, Pooja aims to understand everyday political life and its implications for Ethnonationalist projects, particularly Hindutva Nationalism in India. She aims to understand how ethno-nationalism and gender relations mutually shape each other and as such, she aims to explore the ways in which prefigurative politics becomes infused with the sociality of caste and gender hierarchies in spatial, ideational and material terms.
