NCAA Compliance

Boston University supports an intercollegiate athletics program competing within the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division 1 environment where our student-athletes strive for excellence in sportsmanship, scholarship, and service. This affiliation confers a responsibility to follow the extensive rules and regulations of the NCAA. As a member of the BU community, you may have interactions with prospective and enrolled student-athletes that could affect our compliance with these rules.
A brochure, entitled “Compliance Guide for Faculty, Staff, Alumni and Friends” (which may be accessed online at the following link: www.goterriers.com/friendsguide), provides basic information and guidance about NCAA rules in a format that highlights common problem areas. Although it does not cover all possible scenarios, it is a helpful primer on the most frequently asked questions.
