Cinematheque: An Evening with Henry Hughes

Henry grew up as an army brat and graduated from the BU’s Film and Television Dept in 2006. His Production III short Star Spangled Eyes won the Redstone Festival. He spent the following five years as a paratrooper in the 173rd Airborne, conducting two combat tours in Afghanistan. On his return, Henry earned a MFA in Directing at the American Film Institute. His work has played at Telluride, AFI Fest, Mill Valley, Seattle, and Cannes among others. His AFI Thesis, the short film DAY ONE, was nominated for an Academy Award in 2016. Tonight we will screen Henry’s Production II and Production III shorts, followed by DAY ONE.
