Training and Support
Who can I ask for help?
Each school or college will have one or more My CV Liaisons. Your My CV Liaison will be your local contact for providing guidance on using the system and answering general help questions. For questions about configuring your search settings, depositing publications, and how it relates to BU’s Open Access policy, please contact Boston University Libraries’ OpenBU team at open-help@bu.edu.

The following user documentation is available for you as you begin using and familiarizing yourself with My CV. BU recently upgraded My CV to the latest version of the Symplectic Elements Software, and we are working to updating support materials to reflect the new look of the system. User guides and videos below are labeled to indicate whether they use screenshots from the current version of My CV (v6) or the previous (v5).
Quick Overview:
- My CV-New User Checklist
- ‘What Goes Where?’ Guide – Use this guide to help you to determine in which category to put a particular activity. This guide is available in both PDF and Excel formats.
- Faculty Annual Report resources – For those who need to complete the FAR.
- External and International Activity Report resources – For those who need to complete the EIAR.
