Boston University is committed to providing its students with an experience that is at once inclusive, challenging and fulfilling, making available a vast array of intellectual and co-curricular opportunities, as well as essential resources and administrative support as they advance their academic careers.

Dean of Students

The mission of the Dean of Students and the Division of Student Affairs is to enhance the quality, character, and perspectives of Boston University students. Through its many orientation, mentoring, and counseling programs, the Division promotes an environment that encourages intellectual exchange and individual expression. By offering these programs and a rich residential environment where students can interact with each other, faculty, staff, and other adults, the Division strives to help students develop both personally and academically. The role of the Dean of Students is to interact with students and student associations to represent student concerns and to provide programs and services that facilitate both personal and academic growth.
