Gail Steketee

Dean Steketee is both Dean of the School of Social Work and Professor of Social Work. Her research interests include psychopathology and treatment of hoarding disorder symptoms (clutter, excessive acquiring, difficulty discarding), cognitive aspects of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), cognitive and behavioral treatments for OCD and OC spectrum conditions such as body dysmorphic disorder and  family aspects of treating OC spectrum conditions. She is the author of several books and dozens of articles including The hoarding handbook: A guide for human service professionals (with Christiana Bratiosis and Cristina Sorrentino Schmalisch). She is also a Charter Member of the Society for Social Work Research (SSWR).
