Jack Weinstein

Jack Weinstein, Lieutenant General, USAF (Ret) is a Professor of the Practice of International Security at the Pardee School of Global Studies. His expertise includes national security; nuclear, space, and cyberspace operations; defense strategy and policy; civil-military relations, and organizational leadership. Prior to this position, he served in the U.S. Air Force from 1982 to 2018. In his last assignment, he served as the Deputy Chief of Staff, Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration, at Headquarters U.S. Air Force, the Pentagon. He provided direction, guidance, integration, and advocacy regarding the nuclear deterrence mission. General Weinstein was commissioned through the Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program in 1982 and received distinguished graduate honors. In 2005, he deployed to Southwest Asia as Director of Space Forces for operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. He has commanded at the squadron, group, wing, and numbered Air Force levels.
