Kenneth Lane

Professor of Physics, Emeritus at College of Arts and Sciences

Kenneth Lane received his BS and MS in Physics at Georgia Institute of Technology in 1974 and 1975, and his PHD in Physics at Johns Hopkins University in 1970. After several postdoctoral appointments, he was Assistant Professor of Physics at Harvard University in 1977-79, Associate and Full Professor of Physics at Ohio State University in 1980-87, Full Professor of Physics at Boston University 1988-June 2021 and Emeritus Professor of Physics there since July 2021. He shared (with three collaborators) the J.J. Sakurai Prize of the American Physical Society in 2011 “for work charting a course for the exploration of TeV scale physics using multi-TeV hadron colliders” .
