Mike Proulx is a Lecturer in Advertising at Boston University’s College of Communication with over 20 years of experience as a digital-first marketing practitioner.

From the beginnings of the web and the birth of social media to the reinvention of “television” in the streaming era, Mike’s experience has spanned across strategy, creative, media, and tech for dozens of iconic business-to-consumer brands. Prior to BU, Mike served 12 years at Boston-based advertising agency Hill Holliday where he developed and grew the agency’s digital capabilities as its chief digital officer.

In 2012, Mike wrote and published the best-selling book, “Social TV” and he continues to publish his thoughts on emerging media as an op-ed contributor to Ad Age and as a weekly on-air guest on New England Cable News.
