Tarek Hassan is a Professor of Economics at Boston University, specializing in international finance, macro-finance, and economic growth. His research examines the impact of uncertainty on firm behavior and capital allocation across countries, as well as the effects of migration and ethnic diversity on economic growth. His work has been published in leading journals, including the American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Review of Economic Studies, and Journal of Finance. Hassan has taught advanced courses at the University of Chicago and Harvard University and held visitorships at Princeton, Stanford, London Business School, and the London School of Economics.
