MBA Team Wins 2nd Place in Global Scaling Challenge

Congratulations to Sima Halwani, Antonia Bignotti, Shamkhal Murtazaaliev, and Alexander Orta—Boston University Questrom MBA students—who took home second place out of 33 teams in the prestigious Global Scaling Challenge, hosted by the Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico. After winning the gold medal in the first round, they advanced to the finals, where their polished execution and teamwork earned them a well-deserved silver finish.

The Global Scaling Challenge at the Anderson School of Management, University of New Mexico, is an international competition that brings together MBA students, faculty, and mentors from around the world to tackle real-world growth challenges faced by entrepreneurial firms. Each team is tasked with developing actionable short- and long-term strategies for scaling operations in diverse, complex environments. The format is live and high-stakes—finalists present directly to the judges in a dynamic virtual setting.
